Hello there, my name is Neil Clark. I teach guitar. I also write and record my own work and do the same for the group I play with called Sleepers. I suppose in some ways I have an unusual diversity of playing and working experiences in my career. From clubs to large concert halls, arenas and very large festivals. I have also played on many international T.V. shows including Top of the Pops and the Old Grey Whistle Test in the UK to the David Letterman and Conan O’Brien shows in the U.S. with scores more around the world. I‘ve recorded in many of the world’s best studios with some very high-profile players and played guitar on, developed guitar parts on, and co-composed songs on a number of highly regarded albums over a span of 26 years. I think this gives me a good understanding of the skills guitarists need in most situations and maybe most importantly, I remain, a recording guitarist and composer. I feel strongly that teachers should remain working players.

These days I live in Toronto and this is obviously where I do my lessons. However I’ve had success using Skype and this fundamentally increases the reach of my services to include pretty much anybody, anywhere who has access to a web cam. The lesson process is largely the same with some minor adjustments. Please, browse this site and if you’re interested in lessons drop me a line via the contact page.
